Health Communication (Minor)

The Health Communication Minor is designed to prepare students with the communication knowledge and skills to work in a health-related field. Students will complete courses that focus on development of communication skills, research methodology, and theory in the health communication field.

Courses and Curriculum

Students who complete the minor will meet all of the following program learning outcomes:

  1. Students will integrate theory, research, and practice in health communication contexts.
  2. Students will exhibit social responsibility and professionalism in their communicative interactions with others in health contexts.
  3. Students will display the communication skills necessary to engage in competent human relational interaction in multiple health contexts.
