Teaching and Research Interests
Dr. Costanzo's dissertation titled "Romance Conjugational Classes: Learning from the Peripheries" deals with a number of issues related to verbal conjugation patterns in some of the less-studied Romance languages (e.g., Catalan, Aromanian, Sicilian dialects of Italian, etc.). His other research interests include various aspects of the languages spoken in the Balkan peninsula, specifically Albanian, Romanian, and Macedonian. He is also currently planning a project aimed to investigate linguistic variation in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
